Star Trek was introduced in 2002 as an annual nation-wide musical concert tour that parades the best of Nigerian artistes across 10 cities pan Nigeria. The objective remains to offer Nigerians in every nook and cranny a good share of the brighter life, in terms of entertainment and enjoyment. Star Trek is essentially a brand building activity designed to bring ”Star brightness” to all corners of Nigeria
In 2011, Star Trek will take brightness to many cities across the country. The venues for this year's Star Trek are: Gwagwalada, Auchi, Asaba, Nnewi, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Aba, Lagos and Ondo.

ABOUT STAR Quest
In 2002, STAR introduced a talent hunt program STAR Quest. The basic objective of STAR Quest is to discover and nurture talented young Nigerians into musical superstars. Over the years, the show has discovered and produced young, talented Nigerian artistes that have gained prominence in the Nigeria Music Industry and have played alongside acclaimed International Artistes. Musical bands that have emerged winners in past editions of STAR Quest and have blossomed into successful musical bands include: KC Presh, D'Accord, D'Jewels, Diamondz and JukeBox. A UNIQUE CONCEPT
The STAR Quest concept is unique because talented musical bands are formed by a group of persons who are not familiar with one another prior to the show.
ELIGIBILITY
Entries are solicited from individuals who have had no prior published musical works Participants must possess demonstrable proficiency in at least one vital area of music vocals, instruments or composition, etc. Open auditions will be conducted to ensure that as many aspiring Nigerian musicians as possible are given the opportunity to showcase their talent and thus qualify for the talent hunt Minimum age required for participation in STAR Quest is 21 years MECHANICS OF STAR Quest 2011
ABOUT STAR TV GAME SHOW
In 2003, STAR redefined consumer promotions by introducing a consumer-interactive dimension promo in the form of a Gameshow. This was done to overtly display credibility in the winning process. The show is televised and broadcast weekly. Consequently, viewers at home are given the opportunity to see, and participate in the process, while also enjoying the fun and excitements of the show.
The STAR consumer promotion Gameshow provides a good platform for consumer interaction and bonding, and leads to the winning of many mouth-watering prizes. STAR brought the STAR 55th Anniversary Promo in 2004; the STAR Millionaire, STAR Super Splash, and STAR Circle of Brightness promotions in 2005; the STAR Fun ‘n’ Fortune promotion in 2006; and the STAR “Brighter Life” TV Gameshow in 2007.
