Provisions Seller, Admission Seeker Win Brand New Cars in Star Mega Promo

The rank of brand new car owners has swollen by three. Messrs. Ikechukwu Odoh, Oluwaseun Ogunbanwo and Ogunlade Gbenga joined the privileged league of 2011 brand new Toyota Corolla owners. They neither parted with millions of naira to directly purchase the car, nor applied for loans with payment installment plans. They simply ordered for bottles of Star lager beer and gathered crown corks which spelt S-T-A-R; thus becoming owners of brand new cars.

For 19 year - old Oluwaseun Ogunbanwo, he chose to purchase a crate of Star beer to celebrate his birthday with his friends, on October 11. He was also smart enough to take the Star Mega Promo crown corks home. Luck thus shone on him when he found the letters on the crown cork spelt STAR, instantly guaranteeing him a brand new car.

Ogunlade Gbenga was sleeping at home, when a friend invited him over to share drinks at a restaurant in Okuku, Osun State. He ordered bottles of Star beer. This choice paid off, as he found the letter ‘S’, under the crown cork of the Star lager beer he ordered. This also won him a car, as he had previously assembled the alphabets ‘T’, ‘A’, ‘R’.

“I am a loyal consumer of Star lager beer. I really appreciate what Star is doing. God will empower them and keep growing the company that produces the beer”, Gbenga said.

According to him, the promotion is authentic. “I can tell you that the promo is real. As you can see, my life has been changed by this. The Lord has done a great thing. I am not looking for another ‘S’. If I find the winning crown corks, I will give another person. ” he noted.

In the case of Ikechukwu Odoh, he was invited to wedding ceremony in Oaba village in Enugu State. He requested to be served Star lager beer at the occasion. This choice won him a brand new car, as the alphabet ‘S’ was under the crown cork of the Star lager beer he was served.

“There was a wedding ceremony at Horn Primary School. So when I got there and sat down, the people serving asked me what I’ll drink. I told them Star. The first bottle of Star that the people gave me, I opened the Star. I removed the foil under the crown cork. Then I found letter ‘S’. I just sipped my Star beer a little bit and I left the drink there. I went home and brought out the remaining crown corks. I informed someone and he told me that I had won a brand new car” Ikechukwu stated.

He further added that the brand new car will change his status in the village. “I am a very popular person in my village. I have three motorcycles. But with this car my status has changed. I will start going for important occasions with my wife with this car” Ikechukwu noted.

He further stated his resolve to win more cars by drinking the Star beer more often. “I will keep drinking Star and I hope that I will see the alphabets S-T-A-R under more Star beer crown corks. If I win more cars, so be it” he stated.

So far, six cars have been won by Nigerians. This means that 18 cars are still up for grabs in the promotion, described as the biggest in the 62 year history of the Star brand.

The Star Mega Promotion will end on November 30, 2011. Loyal consumers also stand the chance of winning N50,000 and N20,000 cash prizes. Other instant gift items include T shirts, key holders, pens, umbrellas and free drinks.
